Lisha is a brilliant student in her second and final year of the Master of Business Administration programme at Priyadarshini Engineering College in Vellore District, Tamil Nadu State (India). A few years ago, she was studying B.E Aeronautical at Mahendra Engineering College when her family's economic situation suddenly changed. Her dream of becoming a world-class engineer was shattered by extreme poverty. Despite this, Lisha managed to get admission to the Arts and Science College in the Vellore District to study economics. Now, she aspires to be a businesswoman and a social entrepreneur to fight extreme poverty and help improve the lives and learning opportunities of other girls from low-income families.

This campaign is part of our Higher Education for All programme, which aims to combat extreme poverty in India. More vulnerable groups, such as young women and minorities, receive special attention.
